Dr. Curtis Rayment

Founder/ CEO/ IAMI Facilitator

Dr Curtis Rayment is JCU Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery Graduate with aspirations of becoming a Rural Generalist, born and raised on his family’s cattle property West of Winton and now works in the Toowoomba Hospital. He is a passionate consent educator, current QRCU Heelers representative, North Queensland’s Brolga Senior Men’s Captain, a JCU RESPECT facilitator, and in 2021 Curtis founded “It’s a Man’s Issue” to deliver trauma informed, evidence based and culturally sensitive workshops focused on consent, sexual assault, healthy relationship’s, toxic masculinity and active bystander training with resounding praise from participants and staff. For his efforts in 2023 was nominated as Queensland Young Australian of the Year.

By sharing his own experiences as a young man from his time in college, in the rugby sheds and mustering camps, he hopes to educate and motivate other men to challenge their own behaviours, their mates behaviours and become part of the solution instead of the problem.

Dr. Jack Bryant

Senior Director/ IAMI Facilitator

Dr. Jack Bryant Is a Rural Generalist trainee currently based in southeast Queensland. Jack is a James Cook University graduate and was awarded the Peter Doyle medal for ‘most deserving medical student’.

Jack is an avid blood donor and has been awarded the Australian Redcross Lifeblood’s ‘Champion of Champions’ award. He has been around It’s A Man’s Issue since its inception but jumped onboard officially as a facilitator in 2023.

Like Curtis, Jack is frustrated with the lack of men in this space, and the countless women in his life who have experienced harassment and assault perpetrated by men.

Joshua Fletcher (LLB)

IAMI Facilitator

Joshua is a Townsville based Lawyer with a passion for fitness and gender equality. Graduating with a diploma in legal practice, Joshua has captained Queensland’s Rugby Union side for the last 5 years whilst running and owning his own fitness brand HelloFitt.

Growing up on a cattle station, at just 5 years old Josh’s Dad was involved in a car accident leaving his Mum as his sole carer. Josh credits his Mum as the strongest person he knows. Sick of the attitudes men hold towards women, Josh is committed to educating the new generation.
